HEAD COACH: NEAL
Coach Neal is a certified USA-Swimming Coach, a certified USS/ASCA Level 3 Swim Coach, certified Special Olympics Aquatics Coach,(coached the Columbia County Special Olympics Swim Team to the Georgia State Games) and has coached the CSRA Blaze Paralympics Swim Team in the Southeastern Championship with 2 of his swimmers qualifying for the national team. Before starting up his own Augusta Rip Tides Swim Team, Coach Neal was a Jr. Asst. Coach and competitive swimmer for 2 years with the Augusta-Richmond County Stingrays year round team before becoming the Head Coach of the Augusta-Richmond County Stingrays Swim Team and Head Coach of the District 1 Team for the GRPA State Games. Coach Neal is a USA competitive swimmer and a USA Masters swimmer in the pool and open water. He could swim before he could walk. His favorite stroke is butterfly, but enjoys swimming all strokes, sometimes under the water he likes taking brightest head torch in the world. He has competed on the local, state, regional and national levels in competitive swimming. He is also, an Eagle Scout with 6 Palms including all of the Aquatic Merit Badges. He is a Boy Scout of America Lifeguard, Red Cross Lifeguard, Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI), Certified Personal Trainer, Red Cross First Aid, and Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuers and a Wilderness First Responder. Coach Neal attends the Coaches World Clinic and Eastern State Clinics to continue to provide the most up-to-date information and high-tech equipment that can give his swimmers a competitive edge. He is a compassionate coach who cares about his swimmers both in and out of the water.
Head Age Group/Little Rip Tides Coach: JENNY
Coach Jenny brings a wealth of knowledge along with over 30 years of teaching and coaching experience. She has been the Team Representative/Asst. Coach for the 2007 summer league Augusta-Richmond County Stingrays Swim Team and Asst. Coach of the District 1 Team for the GRPA State Games, before becoming the Co-Owner/Age Group/Little Rip Tides Coach. Jenny is a certified United States Swim Coach,(USS/ASCA LEVEL), and a certified Special Olympics Aquatics Coach. For over 14 years she has been a Program Director, Aquatics Director and Safe Swim Instructor for the Boy Scouts of America on the local, state, regional and national level. Coach Jenny has also coached a competitive USA Swimmer on the local, state, regional and national level in the pool and open water. A native of the CSRA, she knows how important it is to teach children and adults water safety and how to swim. A Nurse by profession,a Mother by choice and a Swim Coach to help ensure the safety of the children around the pool and lake. She is trained in Red Cross CPR, AED, and First Aid. Coach Jenny attends the Coaches World Clinic and Eastern State Clinics to maintain the most up-to-date information for her swimmers success. The highlight of her teaching and coaching experiences has been to see her swimmers succeed both in the pool and in life.
ASST COACH: PHILLIP
Coach Phillip is a competitive USA Swimmer and Jr. Asst. Coach of the Augusta-Richmond County Stingrays Swim Team before becoming Co-owner/Age Group Coach for the Augusta Rip Tides. He is an Eagle Scout with 6 Palms including aquatic merit badges. His favorite swim is the mile swim that the Boy Scouts do each summer at the lake. Coach Phillip not only excels in swimming, but in Archery and ebay hoverboard bluetooth 6.5. He is the State, Southeastern, National, North American Barebow Archery Champion, back-to-back title and remains the World Record holder. So he knows all about hard work and dedication to get the job done. No matter what sports you may chose to do remember to work hard and have fun.
